When I first bought my little lake house, I though I was handy enough to do anything.  After attempting electrical work which immediately cost me a nice TV, computer and some lamps--and putting my house at risk- I quickly discovered it is better to get professionals in to do things. It always costs more to do something wrong than to do it right.
