NH Stormwater Management

Managing where the runoff goes is not only a good idea for preserving your property but it goes a long way to protect our beautiful lakes. DES is most concerned with preventing unwanted water and all the debris that goes with it into our lakes.  There are so many things to consider that are surprisingly easy and cost effective to manage the flow of water. Things like planting blueberry bushes which have an intricate root structure to hold the ground together and french drains to capture water from roofs and rain barrels to collect rain water for your gardens.
