Baxter Lake (295 acres) Farmington & Rochester  Baxter Lake is located in Strafford County in the eastern part of New Hampshire, centrally located to all the best New Hampshire can provide. The lake is located in two towns-- Farmington and the city of Rochester. It is part of the Cocheco River watershed, a tributary of the Piscataqua River. Some of the top fishing awards were attributed to this little known lake. I have sold many homes on this lake. Ideal location for commuting to the best work centers of New Hampshire and play in the best areas Mother Nature can provide from the seacoast of Portsmouth to the Lakes Region of Wolfeboro and all of Lake WInnipesaukee to the mountains beyond. There is a public boat launch in teh Rochester part of the lake as well as a Baxter Lake Recreation Area campground.
