Every town in New Hampshire has different tax rates. Your property assessment is used as a basis multiplied by the tax rate to determine your annual taxes. These numbers change annually. Sometimes it doesn't change your tax bill. There are some towns known for low taxes. An example is Moultonborough which has the highest number of waterfront properties on Lake Winnipesaukee so therefore a very good tax base. Another town is Newington which has the tax base of the malls to support the taxes.
