PROPERTY DESCRIPTION: 9 Anchorage Place sits at the water's edge in South Portland's Knightville Neighborhood, at the end of a gated private drive off Ocean Street, with Casco Bay on one side and a full-service marina on the other. The views run across the harbor to Portland's peninsula, the shipping channel, and the city skyline. Inside is 1,478 square feet of single-level floor plan, two bedrooms and two full baths, with laundry on the main level and a primary bedroom with its own bath. An attached one-car garage opens directly into the living space. A 260 square foot patio extends the living area toward the water. The building is wood frame on a poured concrete slab under a pitched asphalt shingle roof, built in 1982, one of five units. Utilities are public: water, sewer, and natural gas service, with natural gas heat. Anchorage Place is a waterfront association immediately beside South Port Marine, a full-service marina at 14 Ocean Street, and the property benefits from that adjacency for access to Casco Bay. Knightville occupies the northeastern tip of South Portland, where the Fore River meets the bay, connected to Portland's peninsula by the Casco Bay Bridge. Bug Light Park, the Portland Breakwater Light and Willard Beach sit to the east, and Fort Williams Park with Portland Head Light in adjacent Cape Elizabeth.
