Then there all the hoopla about mortgages, interest rates, real estate companies folding, lenders going out of business, all the ballyhoo on sub prime loans, banks, foreclosures, and all the bad press about the housing market in general. Not to mention all the stuff in Iraq, the war, anything that comes out of President Bush's mouth, the election, Brittany Spears, Paris Hilton, Tom Cruise, the writer's strike, Nostradamus, it is never ending.

So here I have compiled a list of little ice breakers--small talk of sorts- to take your mind off the press -- Little known factoids to get into heated discussions about nothing.You never know when you might need to know some ofthis....
